Description

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Cut puff pastry sheets into equal squares.
  4. Lightly score a smaller square inside each piece without cutting through completely.
  5. Spread a spoonful of cream cheese mixture into the center of each square.
  6. Arrange sliced strawberries neatly on top of the filling.
  7. Brush pastry edges with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  9. Allow pastries to cool slightly.
  10. Whisk powdered sugar and milk together to create a smooth glaze.
  11. Drizzle glaze lightly over the cooled danishes.
