Ingredients

- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 4 green onions, cut into 1 inch pieces
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
- Toss beef with cornstarch until coated.
- Cook beef 2 to 3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté garlic and ginger briefly until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce, brown sugar, and water. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return beef to skillet and toss to coat. Add green onions and cook 1 minute.
- Serve hot over rice.
