Description

A simple grilled romaine wedge with smoky charred edges, crisp center, fresh lemon juice, and grated Parmesan. A quick and elegant side dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 romaine hearts, halved lengthwise
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium high heat.
  2. Brush cut sides of romaine with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Place romaine cut side down on the grill and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until grill marks form.
  4. Flip and grill the other side for 1 minute.
  5. Remove from grill and drizzle with lemon juice.
  6. Sprinkle grated Parmesan on top and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcook to keep center crisp.
  • Use fresh lemon for brightness.
  • Serve immediately for best texture.
  • Optional toppings can be added after grilling.
