Description
A simple grilled romaine wedge with smoky charred edges, crisp center, fresh lemon juice, and grated Parmesan. A quick and elegant side dish.
Ingredients

- 2 romaine hearts, halved lengthwise
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium high heat.
- Brush cut sides of romaine with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
- Place romaine cut side down on the grill and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until grill marks form.
- Flip and grill the other side for 1 minute.
- Remove from grill and drizzle with lemon juice.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan on top and serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overcook to keep center crisp.
- Use fresh lemon for brightness.
- Serve immediately for best texture.
- Optional toppings can be added after grilling.
