- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat grill to high heat, about 450°F to 500°F.
- Pat steaks dry and rub lightly with olive oil.
- Season generously with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if using.
- Place steaks directly on hot grill grates.
- Grill for 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium rare, adjusting time for preferred doneness.
- Use a meat thermometer and remove at 130°F for medium rare.
- Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice against the grain and serve.
