Description

A slow cooked Georgia pot roast with tender chuck beef, hearty vegetables, and rich savory gravy.


Ingredients

  • 3 pound chuck roast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 3 large carrots, cut into chunks
  • 3 medium potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Sear chuck roast in olive oil until browned on all sides.
  3. Sprinkle ranch seasoning and gravy mix over roast. Add beef broth.
  4. Add carrots, potatoes, and onion around roast.
  5. Cover and cook 3 hours until fork tender.
  6. Rest 10 minutes, slice or shred, and serve with gravy.
