Each bite delivers the perfect contrast of crispy crust and succulent seafood smothered in bubbling, aromatic cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Ingredients for the Garlic Butter:
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for subtle heat)
  • Ingredients for the Flatbread & Toppings:
  • 2 naan breads, flatbreads, or store-bought pizza crusts
  • ½ lb raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ⅓ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil or extra chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Instructions:
  2. Prep Oven & Pans: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and optional red pepper flakes.
  4. Sauté Shrimp: Heat 1 tablespoon of the prepared garlic butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chopped shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 2–3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Remove from heat.
  5. Brush & Par-bake Flatbreads: Place flatbreads on the baking sheet. Brush both flatbreads generously with half of the remaining garlic butter. Par-bake in the oven for 3–5 minutes until lightly crisp.
  6. Assemble Flatbreads: Remove flatbreads from the oven. Sprinkle an even layer of shredded mozzarella and Parmesan across both flatbreads. Distribute the cooked garlic shrimp over the cheese and sprinkle with dried oregano.
  7. Bake: Return to the oven and bake for 8–10 minutes until the cheese is completely melted, bubbly, and golden brown on the edges.
  8. Garnish & Serve: Drizzle with any remaining garlic butter, garnish with fresh chopped basil or parsley, slice into squares, and serve warm!

Notes

  • Pat your shrimp completely dry before they hit the skillet to prevent sogginess.
  • Do not skip the par-baking step, as it creates a protective barrier that keeps the crust crisp.
  • When sautéing the shrimp, watch for the moment they turn pink and curl into a loose C shape, which signals perfect doneness.
  • Reserve a tablespoon of garlic butter for the final drizzle.
  • Use room temperature shredded cheese for more even melting.
