Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, mash the ripe bananas and whisk in granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Spoon or pipe the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about three quarters full.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the tops spring back lightly and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the glaze.
  9. Dip the tops of the cooled donuts into the glaze and allow it to set before serving.
