Description

Golden puff pastry wrapped around a creamy brie center with a touch of sweet fruit preserves, baked until flaky and perfectly melted.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 round brie cheese wheel, about 8 ounces
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, about 8 to 10 ounces, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons fruit preserves
  • 1 large egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the brie in the center of the puff pastry sheet and spread the fruit preserves evenly on top.
  3. Fold the puff pastry over the brie and seal the edges underneath.
  4. Brush the entire pastry surface with the beaten egg.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the pastry is deep golden brown and puffed.
  6. Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

  • Keep the brie chilled before wrapping for best results.
  • Do not overfill with preserves to prevent leaking.
  • Let the pastry rest briefly before cutting for cleaner slices.
