- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 2 tablespoons melted butter, for brushing
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all purpose flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and dried Italian herbs.
- Add milk and vegetable oil or melted butter to the dry ingredients.
- Stir gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape into round rolls.
- Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing evenly apart.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Remove from the oven and immediately brush with melted butter.
- Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Do not overmix the dough to keep rolls soft.
- Use fresh baking powder for best rise.
- Brush butter on while rolls are still warm for maximum flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
