Description

Toot is a soft and chewy Persian almond confection shaped like mulberries, delicately flavored with rosewater and cardamom, and dusted with powdered sugar. This no-bake treat is elegant, simple, and perfect with tea or as a festive sweet gift.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tablespoons rosewater

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, powdered sugar, cardamom, and rosewater. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  2. Line a plate or tray with parchment paper.
  3. Scoop small portions of the dough and roll into oval mulberry-like shapes.
  4. Press a clove into the center of each piece if desired.
  5. Roll each Toot in powdered sugar until coated.
  6. Arrange on a serving plate and serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
