- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup for glaze, plus 1 tablespoon for meat mixture
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar for glaze
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tablespoon ketchup until just combined.
- Transfer mixture to a loaf pan, shaping evenly.
- Mix 1/2 cup ketchup with brown sugar and brush over the top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, reapplying glaze halfway through, until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Remove from oven and let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
