Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup for glaze, plus 1 tablespoon for meat mixture
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar for glaze
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tablespoon ketchup until just combined.
  3. Transfer mixture to a loaf pan, shaping evenly.
  4. Mix 1/2 cup ketchup with brown sugar and brush over the top.
  5. Bake for 50–60 minutes, reapplying glaze halfway through, until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Remove from oven and let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
