Description

These rich, fudgy Sweet Potato Chocolate Truffles are the perfect guilt-free indulgence. Made with wholesome ingredients like mashed sweet potato, cocoa, and maple syrup, they deliver a melt-in-your-mouth texture and deep chocolate flavor without the need for cream or butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mashed sweet potato (about 1 medium)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • Optional coatings: cocoa powder, crushed nuts, shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine mashed sweet potato, cocoa powder, oats, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Blend until smooth.
  2. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes to firm up.
  3. Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions and roll into balls using your hands.
  4. Roll the truffles in your choice of coating (cocoa powder, nuts, or coconut).
  5. Place on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Serve chilled or let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes before enjoying.

Notes

  • Use a fully cooked and soft sweet potato for the best texture.
  • For extra sweetness, add a few soaked dates to the mix.
  • Keep hands slightly damp to make rolling easier and less sticky.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for longer shelf life.
