Description
This Strawberry Tiramisu is a light and fruity twist on the Italian classic, with layers of soft ladyfingers soaked in strawberry syrup, creamy mascarpone filling, and fresh strawberries. It’s an easy, no-bake dessert that’s perfect for spring and summer gatherings.
Ingredients
- Fresh Strawberries: 500 g, hulled and sliced
- Ladyfingers: 24 pieces
- Mascarpone Cheese: 250 g
- Heavy Cream: 1 cup
- Sugar: 1/2 cup
- Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon
- Lemon Zest: 1 teaspoon
- Water: 1/2 cup
- Powdered Sugar: for dusting
Instructions
- Make the Strawberry Syrup: In a saucepan, combine half of the strawberries with sugar and water. Cook until the strawberries soften, then blend into a smooth syrup. Let it cool completely.
- Whip the Cream: In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.
- Mix the Mascarpone Filling: In another bowl, whisk mascarpone, vanilla, lemon zest, and a bit of sugar until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped cream.
- Layer the Tiramisu: Spread a small amount of cream mixture on the bottom of a 9×9-inch dish. Dip ladyfingers quickly in the cooled strawberry syrup and arrange them in a single layer. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then add sliced strawberries. Repeat with another layer.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best texture.
- Finish and Serve: Dust with powdered sugar and top with extra strawberry slices before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
- Do not over-soak ladyfingers to keep the layers firm.
- Chill the tiramisu overnight for deeper flavor and better texture.
- Serve cold and slice gently for perfect layers.
