- 1/3 cup boiling water
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for sauce)
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar (for sauce)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease two ramekins.
- Pour boiling water over the chopped dates and let them soften.
- Mix softened butter and brown sugar, then add the egg and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the softened dates with their liquid into the batter.
- Divide batter between the two ramekins and place them on a baking tray.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until the tops are set and soft.
- Make the toffee sauce by melting butter, brown sugar, and cream until smooth.
- Spoon warm sauce over the freshly baked puddings and serve warm.
