Description

A luxurious yet simple Steak and Lobster Dinner featuring perfectly seared ribeye steaks and buttery lobster tails, all brought together with a drizzle of garlic butter and a touch of lemon. The ultimate surf and turf experience you can make right at home.

Ingredients

  • Ribeye Steak: 2 steaks (about 8 oz each)
  • Lobster Tails: 2 medium tails (about 6 oz each)
  • Unsalted Butter: 1/2 cup, melted
  • Garlic Cloves: 3, minced
  • Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon: 1, cut into wedges
  • Salt and Pepper: To taste
  • Fresh Parsley: 1 tablespoon, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Melt butter with minced garlic in a small saucepan until fragrant, then set aside.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Add olive oil to the hot skillet to coat the surface evenly.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Season steaks with salt and pepper, sear each side for 3–4 minutes, then transfer to the oven for 4–5 minutes for medium-rare.
  5. Cook to Perfection: While steak finishes, broil lobster tails on a baking sheet brushed with garlic butter for 6–8 minutes until opaque.
  6. Finishing Touches: Rest steak for 5 minutes, brush both steak and lobster with remaining garlic butter, and sprinkle with parsley.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Plate together with lemon wedges and extra melted butter on the side.

Notes

  • Always bring steak to room temperature before cooking for even doneness.
  • Pat steak dry before searing to get a perfect crust.
  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor balance.
  • Don’t overcook lobster; it should be white and tender, not rubbery.
