Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans (5 ounces each) tuna, drained well
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, shredded mozzarella, cream cheese, red chili flakes, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and evenly blended.
- Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the puff pastry sheets. Cut each sheet into four equal squares.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling into the center of each square. Fold over to form a rectangle or triangle and press the edges firmly with a fork to seal.
- Place parcels on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 18 to 22 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, then serve warm.
Notes
- Drain the tuna thoroughly to prevent soggy pastry.
- Do not overfill the parcels to avoid leakage during baking.
- For extra flavor, add chopped parsley or green onions to the filling.
- Reheat leftovers in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 to 10 minutes to restore crispness.
