- 4 cups seedless grapes, washed and thoroughly dried
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon citric acid
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- A few drops gel food coloring, optional
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and citric acid until well combined.
- Place the washed and thoroughly dried grapes in a large mixing bowl.
- Drizzle the lime juice over the grapes and gently toss to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle the sugar and citric acid mixture over the grapes and toss until fully coated.
- Add a few drops of gel food coloring if using and gently mix until the grapes are evenly colored.
- Spread the coated grapes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes until chilled and slightly firm.
- Serve cold for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
- Make sure the grapes are completely dry before coating to help the sugar stick properly.
- Adjust the amount of citric acid to control the level of sourness.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
