Description

A comforting and savory salmon pie with a flaky golden crust and a creamy dill-infused filling. Perfect for family dinners, meal prep, or a cozy weekend lunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked salmon, flaked
  • 1 double pie crust, for top and bottom
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until smooth.
  3. Stir in flaked salmon, chopped onion, melted butter, dill, salt, and black pepper until evenly combined.
  4. Place one pie crust into a 9 inch pie dish and press gently into the edges.
  5. Pour the salmon mixture into the crust and spread evenly.
  6. Cover with the top crust and seal the edges.
  7. Bake for 35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set in the center.
  8. Let the pie rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Drain salmon thoroughly to prevent excess moisture in the filling.
  • Brush the top crust lightly with milk for a golden finish.
  • Allow the pie to rest before slicing for cleaner cuts.
