Description

A comforting baked pasta dish filled with creamy ricotta and spinach, topped with rich tomato sauce and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 12 cannelloni pasta tubes
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups chopped fresh spinach
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly oil a baking dish.
  2. Mix ricotta, spinach, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce in the baking dish.
  4. Fill pasta tubes with the ricotta mixture and arrange in the dish.
  5. Pour remaining sauce over pasta and top with mozzarella and parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Uncover and bake for 15 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
  8. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Let the dish rest before serving for cleaner slices.
  • Use plenty of sauce to keep the pasta tender.
