- 3 ½ cups all purpose flour
- 1 ¼ cups warm water
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 24 pepperoni slices
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F and heat baking sheet or pizza stone inside.
- Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5 minutes. Add flour, olive oil, and salt. Knead 8 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in oiled bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
- Roll dough into a 12 inch circle. Spread tomato sauce, sprinkle oregano and garlic powder, add mozzarella, and arrange pepperoni slices.
- Bake 12 to 15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
- Rest 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Use freshly shredded mozzarella for better melting.
- Do not overload with sauce to prevent sogginess.
- Reheat leftovers in the oven for best texture.
