- 8 oz (225g) halloumi cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, toss the halloumi cubes with olive oil, smoked paprika, dried oregano, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread the halloumi cubes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning halfway through, until the cheese is golden and crispy on the outside.
- Remove from oven and serve immediately as a snack or appetizer.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.
- Serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice or a dipping sauce of your choice.
- Halloumi can be grilled instead of baked for a smoky flavor.
