Instructions
- Ensure your ice cream maker bowl is fully frozen and ready to use.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together fresh orange juice, orange zest, granulated sugar, whole milk, heavy cream, fresh lemon juice, and salt until the sugar fully dissolves.
- Cover and chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Pour the chilled mixture into the ice cream maker.
- Churn according to the manufacturer instructions, about 20 to 25 minutes, until it reaches a soft serve consistency.
- Transfer the sherbet to a freezer safe container.
- Freeze for 2 to 3 hours until firm.
- Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping and serving.
