- 1 cup whole milk

Instructions
- Warm a portion of the milk with a small amount of flour in a saucepan until thickened, then let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked milk mixture with remaining milk, sugar, yeast, egg, and flour until a dough forms.
- Add butter and salt, then knead until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place until puffy.
- Divide dough into equal portions, shape into buns, and place in a greased baking pan.
- Let buns rise again until touching.
- Bake at 350°F until golden brown.
- Brush warm buns with melted butter and serve.
