Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons whole milk
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon butter or non-stick cooking spray
Instructions
- Crack the eggs into a microwave-safe mug or bowl.
- Add the milk, salt, and pepper, then beat with a fork or whisk until well combined.
- Grease the inside of the mug lightly with butter or cooking spray.
- Microwave on high for 30 seconds.
- Remove and stir the eggs gently with a fork.
- Continue microwaving in 15-second intervals, stirring each time, until eggs are fluffy and just set (about 90 seconds total).
- Let sit for 30 seconds before serving. Top with cheese, herbs, or seasoning if desired.
Notes
- Use a wide mug or bowl for even cooking.
- Don’t skip the stirring intervals to avoid rubbery texture.
- Letting the eggs rest after microwaving helps them finish cooking without drying out.
