Description
A hearty plant based burger made with seasoned lentil patties, fresh vegetables, creamy vegan mayo, and crispy oven baked fries.
Ingredients

- 1 ½ cups cooked brown lentils
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- ½ cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 4 burger buns
- 4 large lettuce leaves
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons vegan mayonnaise
- 3 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix lentils, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, soy sauce, 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika until combined.
- Shape into 4 patties and chill for 15 minutes. Toss potatoes with remaining olive oil and salt, spread on baking sheet.
- Bake fries for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Heat skillet over medium heat and cook patties 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Toast buns lightly. Spread vegan mayonnaise on buns, add lettuce, patty, tomato, and red onion.
- Serve burgers immediately with hot crispy fries.
Notes
- Chill patties before cooking to help them hold shape.
- Do not overcrowd fries on the baking sheet.
- Season fries immediately after baking.
