Description

Crispy, cheesy jalapeño popper crisps baked into thin golden rounds with just the right amount of heat. These low carb bites deliver creamy, spicy flavor in a perfectly crunchy snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 medium fresh jalapeño, finely diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, finely diced jalapeño, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly mixed.
  3. Scoop tablespoon sized portions onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them at least 2 inches apart.
  4. Gently flatten each mound slightly with the back of a spoon.
  5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until edges are golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Allow the crisps to cool on the baking sheet for 5 to 10 minutes until firm and crisp.
  7. Carefully lift from parchment and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Finely dice the jalapeño for even distribution.
  • Freshly shredded cheese melts and crisps better than pre shredded.
  • Let the crisps cool completely for maximum crunch.
  • Re crisp in a 350 degree Fahrenheit oven for 3 to 4 minutes if needed.
