  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled

  • 1 loaf baguette or Italian bread, sliced

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: Balsamic glaze for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F or heat grill pan over medium heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine diced tomatoes, basil, salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon olive oil. Let sit for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Place bread slices on a baking sheet or grill pan and brush lightly with olive oil.
  4. Toast bread slices until golden and crisp, about 5–7 minutes.
  5. While still hot, rub one side of each toast with a garlic clove.
  6. Spoon tomato mixture onto each toasted slice.
