Instructions

- Add granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, heavy cream, unsalted butter, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
- Continue whisking as the butter melts and the mixture heats evenly.
- Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
