Description

A tropical twist on the classic hot dog, this Hawaiian-Style Hot Dog is loaded with grilled pineapple, creamy slaw, and a sweet teriyaki drizzle for the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and smoky flavors.


Ingredients

  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 4 beef hot dogs
  • 4 slices fresh pineapple
  • 2 cups coleslaw mix
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper. Toss and set aside.
  3. Lightly oil the grill to prevent sticking.
  4. Place pineapple slices and hot dogs on the grill. Grill pineapple for 2–3 minutes per side until caramelized. Grill hot dogs until browned and heated through.
  5. Toast hot dog buns cut-side down on the grill for about 1 minute.
  6. Place hot dogs in buns, top with grilled pineapple slices, slaw, and drizzle with teriyaki sauce.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite sides.
