Description

Beautifully roasted Hasselback Sweet Potatoes with crisp golden edges and tender, creamy centers. A simple yet impressive side dish that delivers flavor and texture in every slice.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes, washed and dried
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease a baking dish or sheet.
  2. Place each sweet potato on a cutting board and slice thinly across the top, stopping just before cutting all the way through.
  3. Arrange the sliced sweet potatoes in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Brush generously with olive oil, making sure the oil seeps between the slices.
  5. Sprinkle evenly with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  6. Roast for 45 to 60 minutes, brushing with additional oil halfway through, until the potatoes are tender and the edges are lightly crisp.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
