Description
A vibrant and refreshing Green & Red Grape Sorbet made with fresh grapes, a touch of simple syrup, and lemon juice for a naturally dairy-free frozen dessert bursting with fruity flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups green seedless grapes, washed and stems removed
- 3 cups red seedless grapes, washed and stems removed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Place the green and red grapes in the freezer for at least 2 hours until firm.
- In a small saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely to form a simple syrup. Remove from heat and let cool fully.
- Add the frozen green grapes to a high powered blender along with half of the cooled simple syrup and half of the lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
- Transfer the green grape mixture to a freezer safe container.
- Repeat the blending process with the frozen red grapes using the remaining simple syrup and lemon juice.
- Spoon the red grape mixture into the container with the green sorbet and gently swirl for a marbled effect.
- Freeze for 2 to 3 hours until firm but scoopable, stirring once halfway through if desired.
- Let the sorbet sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping if it is very firm. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Taste the grapes before adding sugar and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Cover tightly in the freezer to prevent ice crystals from forming.
- Allow to soften slightly before serving for the best texture.
