  • 1 cup reduced apple cider
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sugar + 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 12-cavity donut pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mix reduced apple cider, sugars, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until a smooth batter forms.
  5. Spoon or pipe batter into donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.
  6. Bake 12–14 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool slightly, then roll warm donuts in cinnamon sugar coating.
