Description

Soft, fluffy rolls filled with garlicky butter and herbs, swirled to perfection and baked until golden. These Garlic-Swirl Rolls are the ultimate side dish for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted, divided)
  • 1 large egg
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add egg and 4 tablespoons melted butter. Stir in flour and salt gradually until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread with remaining butter, garlic, parsley, and Parmesan.
  6. Roll tightly into a log. Slice into 12 even rolls.
  7. Place rolls in greased dish. Cover and rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake for 22–25 minutes until golden.
  9. Brush with garlic butter and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Freeze shaped rolls and bake later.
