Description
Juicy garlic butter prawns tossed with silky glass noodles, fresh parsley, and a hint of chili, all finished with bright lemon for a rich yet balanced seafood dish that feels restaurant-worthy but comes together in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500 grams raw prawns, peeled and deveined
- 200 grams glass noodles, soaked in warm water until soft
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 small red chili, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Place a large skillet over medium heat and allow it to warm gently.
- Soak the glass noodles in warm water for about 10 minutes, then drain well.
- Add butter to the skillet and let it melt slowly. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the prawns in a single layer. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Cook the prawns for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Add the drained noodles to the pan and toss gently so they coat in the garlic butter. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- Stir in lemon juice, chopped parsley, and sliced chili. Toss lightly to combine.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately while warm and glossy.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the pan, cook prawns in batches if necessary.
- Cook garlic gently to prevent bitterness.
- Reheat leftovers gently with a splash of water to loosen the noodles.
