- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 slices sandwich bread or buns
- 4 lettuce leaves (romaine or butter lettuce)
- 1 large ripe tomato, sliced
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Rub chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Grill the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice.
- While chicken rests, melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- Toast the sandwich bread or buns lightly, then brush one side of each slice with the garlic butter.
- Assemble the sandwich: Spread mayonnaise on the bottom bread slice (if using), layer with lettuce, tomato slices, grilled chicken, and top with the second bread slice (buttered side in).
- Serve warm and enjoy!
