Description
Simple, wholesome frozen bites made with ripe banana, fresh strawberries, and optional plain Greek yogurt, perfect as a refreshing, healthy treat for dogs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large banana, peeled (mashed or sliced)
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt, unsweetened (optional, omit if your dog is lactose sensitive)
Instructions
- Prepare freezer space and silicone molds or an ice cube tray on a flat surface.
- Place banana, strawberries, and yogurt if using into a blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides with a spatula as needed.
- Carefully pour or pipe the mixture into each mold cavity, filling evenly.
- Place molds on a flat shelf in the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight, until solid.
- Pop the frozen bites from the molds and transfer them to a labeled freezer-safe container or bag for long-term storage.
- Serve 1 to 2 bites to your dog as a treat, adjusting quantity by dog size.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for natural sweetness and smoother texture.
- Do not use sweetened yogurt or any products containing xylitol or artificial sweeteners.
- Silicone molds make removal easy, but ice cube trays work fine too.
- Store in the freezer for up to 2 months and thaw one or two bites slightly before serving if desired.
