This easy shrimp scampi recipe brings together juicy shrimp, garlic butter, lemon, and linguine pasta for a bright, flavorful dinner in under 30 minutes.

- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 ounces linguine pasta
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook linguine until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add shrimp in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Stir in lemon juice and remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Toss shrimp to coat.
- Add cooked linguine to the skillet. Toss everything together until pasta is well coated.
- Stir in fresh parsley and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve hot with extra parsley or parmesan if desired.
Notes
- Use raw shrimp for best texture, not precooked.
- Reserve a little pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
- Add lemon zest for extra brightness.
