Description

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups (315 g) all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla extract, mix until smooth.
  4. Whisk flour and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  6. Scoop tablespoon sized portions, roll into balls, place on baking sheet, and flatten gently with a fork.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
