Description

Soft, warm, chocolate-filled Dubai Chocolate Donut Rolls that melt in your mouth and bring a bakery-style sweetness right to your kitchen.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate spread or melted chocolate
  • Vegetable oil for frying or brushing
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes to activate.
  2. Add flour, melted butter, egg, and salt then knead until the dough becomes soft and smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the chocolate evenly.
  5. Roll the dough into a log shape and slice into equal sized rolls.
  6. If baking, place rolls in a greased dish and bake at 350°F for 18 to 20 minutes. If frying, heat oil to medium and fry until golden.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

  • Keep dough slightly sticky for a fluffier result.
  • Rest rolls before cooking for a better rise.
  • Do not overfill with chocolate to avoid leaking.
