Description

A luscious homemade Dark Chocolate Strawberry Jam that combines ripe strawberries with rich dark chocolate for a decadent, spreadable treat. Perfect on toast, pastries, or as a dessert topping.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 ounces dark chocolate (70% cocoa), finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Sterilize jars and lids by boiling them for 10 minutes, then let them dry.
  2. In a large saucepan, mix strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Let sit for 10 minutes to draw out juices.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a gentle boil, stirring often.
  4. Simmer for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in chopped dark chocolate, butter, and salt until smooth and glossy.
  6. Pour hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving ¼ inch of space at the top, and seal tightly.
  7. Let cool to room temperature before refrigerating or storing.
