Ingredients
Scale
For the Steak
- 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Optional Garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Prep the steak: Pat steak cubes dry with paper towels for better browning.
- Sear for flavor (optional): In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and quickly sear steak bites for 1–2 minutes per side (they don’t need to cook through). This step adds extra flavor but can be skipped for convenience.
- Load the crockpot: Place steak bites in the slow cooker. Add butter, garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until steak is tender.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot as a main dish or appetizer.
Notes
- For richer flavor, add a splash of red wine to the broth.
- These steak bites pair wonderfully with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread.
- You can use ribeye or tenderloin for an even more luxurious bite.
