Description
A rich, comforting one-pan pasta where tender fettuccine is coated in a velvety Alfredo sauce studded with savory browned ground beef, garlic, and freshly grated Parmesan.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat Your Equipment: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil for the pasta. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Combine Ingredients: Add the ground beef to the hot skillet and cook until well browned, breaking it into bite-sized pieces. Season the beef with a pinch of salt and black pepper while it browns.
- Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Reduce heat to medium, push the beef to one side, add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Assemble the Dish: Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer, stirring to incorporate the garlic and butter. Gradually stir in the freshly grated Parmesan until the sauce is smooth and glossy.
- Cook to Perfection: Meanwhile cook the fettuccine until al dente according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the beef and Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time if the sauce needs loosening.
- Finishing Touches: Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in chopped parsley and a final sprinkle of Parmesan for extra richness.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately in wide, shallow bowls, topping each portion with extra Parmesan and a few parsley leaves for color.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the creamiest texture, pre-grated cheese can prevent smooth melting.
- Reserve a small amount of pasta water, it helps the sauce cling to the noodles.
- Warm the cream slightly before adding to the hot pan to reduce risk of separation.
- To reheat leftovers, warm gently on the stove with a splash of cream or milk to revive the sauce.
