Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large French baguette, sliced into 1.5 cm thick rounds
- 225 grams cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup fresh cranberries (about 120 grams)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190 degrees Celsius and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, stir the softened cream cheese with a pinch of salt until smooth and spreadable.
- Arrange baguette slices on the baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil on one side.
- Toast for 8 to 10 minutes until golden and lightly crisp. Remove and let cool slightly.
- Spread each toasted slice generously with cream cheese and top with fresh cranberries.
- Return to the oven for 3 to 4 minutes to slightly soften the cranberries and warm through.
- Drizzle honey over each crostini and sprinkle with fresh thyme before serving.
Notes
- Use room temperature cream cheese for easier spreading.
- Assemble shortly before serving to keep the bread crisp.
- If using frozen cranberries, thaw and pat dry before topping.
- Honey should be added just before serving to prevent sogginess.
