Instructions
- Preheat a large skillet over medium heat until evenly warmed.
- In a bowl, season the chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, ground cumin, and paprika, mixing well to coat evenly.
- Melt the unsalted butter in the skillet, then sauté the finely chopped onion until soft and translucent. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking until fragrant.
- Stir in the tomato puree and garam masala. Let the sauce simmer gently for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook for 15 to 18 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Simmer gently for another 5 minutes until the sauce becomes smooth and velvety.
- Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice or flatbread.
