Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving extra hanging over the sides for easy lifting.
- In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips, butter, and sweetened condensed milk.
- Heat over low to medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth and fully melted.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt. Mix in crushed peppermint candy or nuts if desired.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- Sprinkle extra toppings on top if you’d like.
- Let the fudge cool at room temperature for 2 hours, then refrigerate until firm.
- Once set, lift the fudge out using the parchment paper and cut into squares.
