- 150 grams cheddar cheese, finely grated
- 180 grams all purpose flour
- 20 grams cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 large egg yolk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream softened butter until smooth, then mix in grated cheese until combined. Add egg yolk and blend well.
- In a separate bowl whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, and white pepper. Gradually add to the butter mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Roll dough on a lightly floured surface to 0.5 centimeter thickness.
- Cut into dragon shapes and place on prepared baking sheet with slight spacing.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
Notes
- Chill the dough for 20 minutes before rolling for better shape definition.
