Description

These Caramel Apple Pretzel Bites combine crisp apples, gooey caramel, salty pretzels, and a drizzle of chocolate into the ultimate bite-sized sweet and salty treat. Perfect for parties, gifts, or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 40 mini pretzels
  • 20 soft caramels
  • 1 large green apple, diced into small cubes
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare your workspace.
  2. Melt the soft caramels in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 20-second intervals until smooth, then stir in the diced apple pieces.
  3. Lay half of the pretzels on the baking sheet and spoon a small amount of the caramel-apple mixture onto each one.
  4. Top each with another pretzel to form a sandwich and press lightly.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to allow the bites to set.
  6. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil, drizzle over the chilled bites, and sprinkle lightly with sea salt.
  7. Chill for another 5 minutes or until the chocolate is firm, then serve or store in the fridge.

Notes

  • Use firm, fresh apples to prevent soggy bites.
  • Don’t overfill with caramel or it may ooze out during chilling.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 weeks.
