Fresh, vibrant, and incredibly easy to make, these Caprese Skewers are the ultimate party appetizer. Juicy cherry tomatoes, creamy mozzarella balls, and fresh basil leaves are stacked onto skewers and finished with a tangy balsamic glaze for the perfect bite every time.
Ingredients

- 1 pint cherry tomatoes
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella balls (Ciliegine)
- 20–25 fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Skewers or toothpicks
Instructions
- Slice cherry tomatoes in half and pat mozzarella balls dry.
- Pick whole fresh basil leaves and set aside.
- On each skewer, thread one half of a tomato, a folded basil leaf, one mozzarella ball, then the other half of the tomato.
- Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Chill the skewers in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes before serving.
- Just before serving, drizzle with balsamic glaze and season lightly with salt and pepper.
Notes
- Use a squeeze bottle for neat balsamic drizzle.
- Marinate mozzarella in olive oil and herbs for extra flavor.
- Choose uniformly sized tomatoes and mozzarella for better presentation.
