Description

Open faced BLAT Toasts layered with crispy bacon, creamy avocado, juicy tomatoes, and fresh lettuce over golden toasted bread. A quick and satisfying meal perfect for brunch, lunch, or a light dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 thick slices bread (sourdough or whole grain)
  • 8 strips bacon
  • 1 large avocado, sliced
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 4 large lettuce leaves (romaine or butter lettuce)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the bacon strips in the skillet until crispy, about 6 to 8 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel lined plate.
  3. Toast the bread slices until golden and firm.
  4. Spread mayonnaise evenly over each slice of toasted bread.
  5. Layer lettuce leaves on top of the mayonnaise.
  6. Add sliced tomatoes evenly over the lettuce.
  7. Place two strips of crispy bacon on each toast.
  8. Top with sliced avocado.
  9. Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the top and serve immediately.
