Description

A sweet and spicy breakfast sandwich made with toasted bagels, fluffy eggs, melted cheddar, crispy bacon, and a drizzle of hot honey


Ingredients

  • Plain Bagels: 4 whole, sliced in half
  • Large Eggs: 4
  • Cheddar Cheese: 4 slices
  • Bacon: 8 slices
  • Honey: 1/4 cup
  • Red Pepper Flakes: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Butter: 1 tablespoon
  • Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and prepare your toaster.
  2. In a small bowl, mix honey and red pepper flakes. In another bowl, whisk eggs with salt and black pepper.
  3. Cook bacon in the skillet until crispy, then remove and set aside. In the same skillet, melt butter.
  4. Pour in whisked eggs and cook gently until just set. Place cheese slices over eggs and allow them to melt. Toast the bagel halves.
  5. Ensure eggs are fully cooked but still soft and fluffy.
  6. Layer eggs and cheese onto the bottom half of each bagel, top with bacon, and drizzle with the spicy honey.
  7. Close with the top bagel half and serve immediately while warm.

  • Warm the honey slightly before mixing for easier drizzling.
